My beagle stays outside for 8-9 hours on weekdays. We've received a couple of complaints about him howling while we're gone, so we thought it was time for a bark collar. This one, however, isn't doing the job. First, the battery died within the first couple of weeks. I found replacements at the pet store 2 for $10. However, after replacing the battery, the collar never worked again. Our dog shakes and the prongs move off his throat and around the back of his neck. One notch tighter I can hardly connect and it seams to hurt him. I am now in the market for another no-bark collar. Maybe a spray one this time?
